InformationEdit

Gorgosaurus was related to T. rex, but more closely related to Albertosaurus. It is one of the Big Tyrannosaurs. Along with Albertosaurus, Gorgosaurus was called the cheetah of the Cretaceous. Gorgosaurus lived alongside Albertosaurus, Daspletosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex, so these animals may have gone into combat. As Gorgosaurus and Albertosaurus were so similar, in the 1970s, a study of tyrannosaurs indicated that these two species were to same. But in 1981, another study showed that there were differences between the two and the name was reinstated.
